Position Description

The Campus Ministry / Christian Service Coordinator supports the Campus Ministry Department by coordinating student service initiatives and providing administrative support to the Director of Campus Ministry and Campus Minister through record-keeping, communication, and event logistics. This is a part time position averaging 20 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions
  • Christian Service Coordination
    • Coordinate all aspects of grade-level service days for freshmen and sophomores, including scheduling, service sites, transportation, permission forms, waivers, and communication.
    • Collaborate with the Campus Minister to plan and implement class service experiences.
    • Maintain accurate student service records using MobileServe, including hour verification, report generation, and eligibility communication.
    • Regularly update the MobileServe events page with service opportunities.
    • Serve as liaison between Divine Child High School and MobileServe/Mobile Permissions customer support.
    • Coordinate with the NHS moderator to monitor additional service requirements.
    • Organize and facilitate monthly student service trips to local organizations, including Fish & Loaves and Gleaners.
    • Communicate with parish and community partners to promote service opportunities and recruit volunteers (e.g., parish blood drives, St. Sabina events, Lenten fish fries, outreach events).
  • Retreat Support
    • Create digital retreat rosters using SignUpGenius and manage digital permission slips through Mobile Permissions.
    • Communicate with students and parents to ensure timely submission of required forms.
    • Track allergy and medication information and provide necessary details to the Attendance Office and school nurse in advance.
    • Assist with or chaperone retreats as needed.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Communicate with students and parents regarding Christian Service requirements and service tracking.
    • Coordinate with the Athletic Department, coaches, and club moderators regarding service-related activities.
    • Collaborate with the NHS moderator to monitor service deadlines and requirements.
    • Work with the Advancement Office to update the Faith Life section of the school website.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare seating charts for school Masses and special events (e.g., Ring Day, Homecoming, May Crowning).
  • Draft and distribute communications (e.g., Constant Contact messages) for Ring Day and Graduation Mass.
  • Assist with in-person Campus Ministry events as agreed upon with the Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Ministry, the Principal, or the Pastor.

Qualifications/Requirements

The ideal candidate is faith-filled, organized, highly motivated, and compassionate, with strong communication skills and the ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in educational technology platforms and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) is preferred. This position reports to the Director of Campus Ministry. It is a part-time role with the option for remote work.
