Campus Security Technician
Class Title: Campus Security Technician Range: 33 Basic Function: Under the direction of a school site administrator, assist in the security and supervision of students in or around campus buildings, facilities, and adjacent areas; perform clerical duties in support of the high school attendance office.
Requirements / Qualifications: Under the direction of a school site administrator, assist in the security and supervision of students in or around campus buildings, facilities, and adjacent areas; perform clerical duties in support of the high school attendance office. Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of experience working with young adults; two years of responsible clerical and record-keeping experience. Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid First Aid and CPR certificates. Environment: Outdoor work environment Adverse weather conditions Office environment Constant interruptions Physical Demands: Hearing and speaking to exchange information Seeing to monitor student activities Standing and walking for extended periods of time Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard Seeing to read a variety of materials Hazards: Possible fights and confrontations Contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals
