Are you an engineer who thrives on leading complex projects from concept to completion? We're looking for a Capital Projects Engineer to manage and execute capital projects that strengthen manufacturing capabilities, improve processes, and support long-term growth.

In this role, you'll lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle planning, design, execution, and implementation while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with operational and strategic priorities.

Capital projects shape the future of the business. In this role, you'll directly impact capacity, efficiency, and innovation ensuring the facility is equipped with the right technology, processes, and infrastructure to support long-term growth and operational excellence.

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Lead end-to-end capital project execution, managing projects from concept through design, construction, and final handoff to operations.

• Drive project planning and budgeting, developing scopes, timelines, and capital budgets aligned with business and operational goals.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure project success.

• Manage vendors, contractors, and contracts, overseeing tendering, scope validation, and execution to protect business interests.

• Monitor project performance and financials, tracking progress, managing risks, and implementing corrective actions to stay on plan.

• Lead project communication and alignment, facilitating regular meetings to identify dependencies, resolve issues, and maintain stakeholder visibility.

• Support capital planning and strategy, contributing to annual budgets and long-range capital improvement plans.

• Introduce new technologies and capabilities, collaborating with R&D and Product Engineering to bring new equipment and processes into production.

• Ensure safety and compliance throughout projects, adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards during all phases of execution.

• Develop multi-year capital improvement plans, supporting facility upgrades, expansions, and equipment replacement strategies.

• Drive continuous improvement in project execution, contributing to standard work, best practices, and process optimization across capital projects.

The Essentials:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent

5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

7 years of demonstrated project and administrative experience

Strong technical knowledge of capital equipment and related functions.

Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles.

Strong computer skills and knowledge including MS Office Suite.

Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite and 2D CAD software, including DraftSight and/or AutoCAD.

Experience in technical manufacturing roles

Optional but Impressive:

Experience working in paper or film converting and/or printing

Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks
