Night Shift 6PM- 6AM
Job Summary:
The Die Cut Catcher/Palletizer is responsible for inspecting product and placing it on pallets.
Operation
• Packing of finished product onto correct pallets neatly to prepare for finishing.
• Operate pallet jack as needed in a safe manner at all times.
Quality Control
• Inspection of product being produced.
• Watch that products are not mixed when building pallets. Any discrepancies are to be brought to the supervisor's attention immediately.
• Ensure pallets are put together with correct pallet tags and stacked neatly.
Support
• Assists in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through inspection).
• Provides information to the operator, production lead and/or management during the production run minimizing waste.
Reporting and Record-keeping
• Completes all documentation and reporting in the ERP accurately.
Maintenance
• Keep work area clean and orderly. Inform supervisor of supply needs.
Compliance/Other tasks
• Adhere to all safety requirements including GMP's, PPE's, HACCP JSA regulations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
When Machine is down the catcher/palletizer should:
• Make boxes and label boxes.
• Clean-up work area.
• Remove or clean-up any unnecessary garbage.
• Stock machines with pallets, tape, etc. for next shift.
• Assist operator with any task that can be done.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED preferred. Relevant work experience, skills, and knowledge are required.
Experience
A minimum of one-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Experienced in using RF scanner for WMS transactions as required for position.
• Able to operate a manual pallet jack and/or an electric pallet jack and forklift as required for position.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools and the ability to operate them effectively.
• Able to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
• Able to communicate production issues to supervisors and others in work area.
• Basic mathematics (i.e. counting).
Working Environment
• Safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required. In addition, task specific PPE may be required.
• Our Manufacturing plant is not environmentally controlled. Changes in humidity and temperature occur throughout the year.
Physical Requirements:
• This position requires frequent use of hands and arms to grasp, position, and move products or materials. The role involves repetitive hand motions, coordinated use of both hands and arms, and reaching in multiple directions. Duties include prolonged periods of standing, as well as bending, stooping, and twisting. Movement throughout the work area is required on a regular basis.
• Occasional activities include ascending and descending stairs, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and positioning items weighing up to 50 pounds, and verbal communication.
• Vision requirements may include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
