Driver

The driver is responsible for transporting finished chassis to the customer. Essential functions include observance of all safety rules and policies, final inspection of finished chassis, preparation of finished chassis for transportation, delivery of finished chassis to customer, unloading of finished chassis, coordination of necessary paperwork, receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods, rotation into production team structure, assistance in repair work, maintenance of good housekeeping practices, and working as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals.

Competencies include clear verbal and written communication skills, reading and processing written communication, meeting production goals and time deadlines, working with minimum supervision, demonstrating competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities, demonstrating welding competency and knowledge of welding systems, rotating to other production positions, operating a Lift Truck or Tractor, successful problem solving skills, exhibiting tact and diplomacy, working under physically and mentally stressful situations, and prioritizing and adapting to changes.

Qualifications include a Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available). This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting and/or moving items over 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities. Protective equipment supplied by the company includes coating suit, coating boots, spray socks, respirator, work gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional protective equipment.

This is a full-time position with local travel. Work authorization/security clearance is required.
