Materials Coordinator/Warehouse Associate

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr Schedule: 7a to 4p | Monday through Friday

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Warehouse Associate for a chemical manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC. This role is responsible for receiving packing slips, entering material withdrawal cards into SAP, and performing Central Stores Attendant duties as needed. This position is exposed to varying temperatures and environments, including hot, cold, or dusty conditions, depending on seasonal and task requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive, verify, tag, and store all spare parts and materials physically and in SAP, including W-6, P3A, and the laydown yard.
  • Enter material withdrawal cards into SAP and issue parts for work orders.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and report results to the Central Stores Supervisor.
  • Operate a forklift to unload, stage, and move materials safely.
  • Ensure appropriate knowledge, tools, and preparation before performing tasks.
  • Handle courier duties, including sorting, delivering, and picking up interoffice and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following procedures to protect people, property, and the environment, reporting hazards, and supporting continuous safety improvements.
ESHS (Environmental, Safety, Health, and Security Responsibilities:
  • Take personal accountability for behaviors related to ESHS activities.
  • Complete the required ESHS training and remain current with learning plans.
  • Report all injuries to Employee Health Services, Security, and supervision within the same shift.
  • Notify direct supervision of hazards or workplace concerns.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to coworkers on safe and unsafe behaviors.
  • Actively participate in the ESHS management system as directed by supervision.
Qualifications:
  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general parts, including mechanical and electrical materials
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Capable of driving a forklift
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires physical mobility and agility to perform job tasks effectively.
  • Must possess sufficient physical strength to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
  • Exposed to prolonged physical activity, such as twelve-hour shifts.
  • Must use sensory faculties to safely perform duties, enabling quick reaction to potential or immediate hazards.
  • Ability to properly wear and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, safety harnesses, full protection suits, and standard safety equipment such as safety shoes, eye and hand protection, hearing protection, and hard hats.
