Medical Assistant – Outpatient Primary Care

Shift: 8-hour shifts within an 08:00–20:00 window Weekend requirement: approximately 1 weekend shift per month

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified Medical Assistant
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• High School diploma or GED
• Required: BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Proven proficiency with venipuncture and blood draws

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Administer immunizations and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Provide patient education and prepare after-visit summaries
• Handle specimen labeling and basic wound care

Compliance / Notes:

• Flu vaccine is required (no exemptions/declinations)
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required
• Orientation: 120 hours
