Medical Assistant – Outpatient

Schedule: Day Shift 8am - 5pm, 5 x 8s M - F

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Preferred
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required
• At least 1 year of experience, 2 years preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and maintaining patient records.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Support healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.
