Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist, you will obtaining blood, urine, and culture specimens from patients ranging in age from
newborn to geriatric, according to established procedures of Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and
State and Federal Regulations. Performs clerical functions and routine repetitive specimen testing
under direct supervision of a licensed technologist.

Every day you will perform clerical functions and routine repetitive specimen testing under direct supervision of a licensed technologist.

To be successful in this role, you must must be able to properly handle patient specimens as to the guidelines specified in the phlebotomy manual and our reference manuals.

Job Requirements

Required

  • State of California Phlebotomy Certificate (CT PHLEBOT)
  • Current and valide CPR-AHA certification (CT CPRBLS)
