Position Summary:

Support Scheduling Manager in the planning and coordination of Casegoods production schedules. The position requires communication with a variety of departments to assist in the completion of an order to include: Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Custom Quotes, Casegoods Outsource, Order Entry, Shipping, and Accounting. Candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leading daily Casegoods Production Meeting
  • Scheduling and monitoring of Vanguard and Outsource team production schedules
  • Monitor style validity and complete inventory reprocesses
  • Various reporting related to Casegoods Bucket Report, Market Orders and Sales Aids
  • Liaison between Marketing/Merchandising and Manufacturing for Casegoods Market Process
  • Monitor Casegoods scheduling emails and complete Casegoods Order changes
  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership skills.
  • Customer oriented service skills including needs assessment, evaluation, and resolution.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and pivot tables.
  • Experience in AS400 preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-Year associate's degree preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in furniture manufacturing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Lift / Carry: Lift up to 10 lbs. frequently; up to 35 pounds occasionally; more weight requires help or team lifting.
  • Reach / Handle: Frequently required to reach, handle various items.
  • Fingering or Manual Dexterity: Position requires frequent use of computer keyboard, mouse, screen and on-line communication.
  • Environment: Indoors, environmentally controlled.
  • Vision: Color determination for quality control and correct material selection.
  • Near Acuity: Requires close vision of less than 3 feet, with or without corrective lenses, for precision.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise in following company guidelines for best cost solution to resolve customer issues.
  • Self-Control: Job requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
  • Stress Tolerance: Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.
  • Time Pressure: Position requires sensitivity to meeting promises, deadlines and timing commitments.
  • Standing/Walking/Sitting: Must be able to sit 8+hours and required to walk/stand throughout shift.
