Client Manager

This role is for someone who knows how to hold a client relationship and grow it at the same time. As a Client Manager at Hays supporting the Main Line region of PA, you'll own one key account — with potential for more — delivering consistent, high-quality service while identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships and drive revenue. You'll also lead a team, meaning your impact extends well beyond your own desk. Whether you're coming from another staffing firm or stepping up from within Hays, if you're ready to own a seat at the table with senior client stakeholders — this is the role.

This role involves:

  • Be the primary contact for key clients; deliver service that is consistent, responsive, and professional
  • Bring market intelligence to every stakeholder conversation — competitor activity, salary benchmarks, skills availability
  • Build and protect relationships across HR, procurement, and senior leadership
  • Own your portfolio's revenue — individual and team fees are your number
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts and partner with the Solutions team and Internal Delivery Centre to execute on them
  • Monitor competitor activity and surface recommendations to leadership
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery — onboarding, timesheets, aftercare, and disputes — in line with client requirements
  • Ensure team and candidate compliance with contracts, service agreements, and audit standards (internal and external)
  • Track and report activity, pipeline, and performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Own data integrity for your team's recruitment technology; ensure accurate invoicing and placement validation
  • Coach, develop, and hold your team accountable — desk reviews, appraisals, and regular feedback
  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in Hays values; retain talent through strong development and succession planning

  • Experience managing client accounts in staffing, MSP, or a professional services environment
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and growing accounts — not just maintaining them
  • Confident leading, coaching, and holding a team accountable to results
  • Strong communicator with the credibility to engage HR leaders, procurement, and C-suite stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented approach to compliance, reporting, and process — you don't let things slip through
  • Data-driven mindset — comfortable with performance metrics, business planning, and client reporting
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and resilient under competing priorities

Base salary of $110,000 plus [commission / bonus structure]. Your compensation scales with your portfolio performance and your team's results.
