Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time, 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM 6:30 PM), 40 Hours/Week (Every Other Weekend Required)

About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate, reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dedicated care team in Flagstaff, Arizona, serving our nations Veterans and Members. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Veterans/Members with activities of daily living (ADLs), including transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
  • Follow instructions for therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices
  • Support nursing staff with simple medical procedures (e.g., enemas, treatments, post-surgical/post-mortem care)
  • Monitor and report changes in residents conditions; take vital signs and collect specimens
  • Document care activities accurately and maintain medical records
  • Assist with dining services, including transporting residents and meal assistance
  • Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment (e.g., changing linens, personal area upkeep)
  • Support emergency response efforts as needed
  • Transport residents to appointments and assist with light clerical tasks
  • Participate in Arizona Management System (AMS) activities and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Arizona
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of CNA experience preferred, but new CNAs are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work every other weekend and 12-hour shifts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and safety

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of para-professional nursing practices and applicable Arizona regulations
  • Familiarity with medical equipment and proper hygiene procedures
  • Ability to document accurately and follow care plans
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
