What youll be doing

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed estimates

• Perform material takeoffs and calculate labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs

• Develop accurate and competitive bid proposals

• Work closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors

• Evaluate bids, identify risks, and adjust pricing strategies

• Track costs, market pricing, and industry trends to stay competitive

What to expect

• Commercial projects (new construction, tenant improvements, or specialty scopes)

• Multiple bids and deadlines running simultaneously

• High level of ownership in winning and pricing work

What you need

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (commercial preferred)

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

• Experience with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
