Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $62-75.00/hour
  • Location: Midland, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+
  • Work Schedule: 8/6 Rotation, 10+ hours per day

  • Journeyman License required
Responsibilities
  • Inspect all electrical terminations and report concerns to the project execution lead
  • Verify motor rotations and incoming voltage phase rotations for all motors on skid
  • Troubleshoot control circuits and assist with commissioning-stage diagnostics
  • Verify proper adjustment and operation of all key interlocks prior to energization
  • Conduct pre-task safety briefings and ensure safe work execution
  • Energize transformers, MCCs, and medium-voltage drives used for large electric compression
  • Gather and review cable test documentation
  • Collect and record drive, compressor, and motor performance data into commissioning spreadsheets
  • Participate in PSSR meetings and highlight incomplete punch-list items
Qualifications
  • Active Journeyman Electrical License required
  • Strong control-circuit knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to coordinate with global project teams, drive OEMs, compressor OEMs, and site electrical/automation teams
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols for high-energy electrical and mechanical systems
  • Preferred experience with medium-voltage systems (1,000–35,000 V), large-horsepower electric compression equipment, and low- or medium-voltage drives (480–4160 V)
  • Powerline experience
  • Compression systems (lift gas or similar) experience a plus
  • Automation or programming experience desired
  • High School diploma or GED required
