$16.50-$17.50/hr (based on experience)

Full Time Day | Occasional weekends and holidays

The Community Life Enrichment and Activities Assistant is responsible for planning and leading programs that bring purpose and meaning to the lives of residents. This position is charged with engaging people to live their best lives and have a good day.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interpret instructions (written and verbal)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Capable of working independently or as a team
  • Computer skills
  • Creative thinking and positive attitude

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Plan and run resident activities (arts, crafts, dance, music, exercise, brain games and sensory stimulation)
  • Create diverse programs to meet resident needs
  • Perform timely documentation
  • Ensure care plans are up-to-date and accurate
  • Keep clinical staff updated on changes to resident or guest condition
  • Safely transport residents and guests to programs
  • Encourage residents to participate in scheduled events
  • Arrange physical environment in preparation for activities to ensure resident and guest safety
  • Create a welcoming and festive environment for residents and guests
  • Promote and support culture of patient centered care and service
