Cost Analyst – Level 2

Job Title: Cost Analyst - Level 2
Location: Westwood, MA - Hybrid/Remote
Must be local to Westwood, MA
Job Type and Duration: 3 month contract to hire
Pay range: $30 - $40hr W2
Work Hours: 7am-4pm ET
Work Days: Mon-Fri.

Role and Scope of Position
The Cost Analyst supports the development of transmission capital projects by providing accurate early-phase cost estimates and financial forecasting. The role contributes to the Shovel-Ready Initiative by ensuring reliable cost profiles for transmission asset-condition projects advancing toward construction readiness.

Essential Functions
1. Develop and refine early-phase forecasts for transmission projects
2. Forecast development-stage spending and capital-plan impacts
3. Manage and coordinate work order status throughout the lifecycle of the shelf-project development.
4. Evaluate cost risks related to design development, permitting, and long-lead materials
5. Support financial models and cost histories that improve capital-planning accuracy

Experience and Education:
2 to 5 years of experience.
