Description

Supervises the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Responsible for directing the daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving team. Collaborates and communicates with other departments within the company as well as freight carriers/providers involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Ensures that all required shipping documentation is included with all outbound materials. Maintains a clean, neat, and safe area. Oversees and participates in the loading/unloading of trucks and deliveries. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Responsible for the accurate generation and filing of departmental paperwork. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all inbound and outbound material. Resolves and or escalates all discrepancies found in all inbound and outbound paperwork. Responsible for ensuring inspection of all incoming and outgoing shipments for damage. Uses combination of ERP system, Microsoft Office, and shipping portals to prepare shipments. Maintains status as a Subject Matter Expert in area of responsibility. Maintains working knowledge of at least two other areas of the Warehouse. With limited support, motivates and coaches other associates. Coordinates with other warehouse Leads to ensure department objectives are met. Defines, collects, and reports departments KPIs to Management as directed. Operates and directs others in the use of various material handling equipment and PLTs. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of warehousing and material handling procedures preferred.
• Good math skills and proficient computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Experience as a Lead/Supervisor, preferred.
• Interacts with supplier, carriers, and customers

Salary Range: $24-$27/hr (Salary commensurate with experience)
