Custodial Crew – Summer Only

Maize USD 266 is seeking people to join the summer custodial crew. The job will be full-time Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm from May 26-July 31.

Typical Duties

• Helps maintain cleanliness of the building including washing windows, picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms and drinking fountains, and mopping floors when necessary
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies for the purpose of re-locating classrooms.
• Assists with special projects such as putting together new furniture, painting walls, and doing major repairs during summer months

Physical Demands, Working Environment

• Heavy lifting is common.
• Ladders are used.
• Occasionally work is done in extreme conditions.
• Generally the job requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and working with fine finger dexterity.
• The position requires 80% walking, 15% standing, and 5% sitting.
