Custodian

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Custodian. This full-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in custodial services.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in various facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with setting up and taking down furniture for events and meetings.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Perform additional custodial duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage is preferred.
