Custodian – Substitute (Multiple Vacancies)

Custodian

Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the assigned facility and performs light maintenance as directed. Essential duties include maintaining cleanliness of assigned bathroom areas, replenishing supplies, cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, utilizing power equipment for heavier cleaning, securing the facility, light painting, providing set up assistance, shoveling/salting walking surfaces surrounding the facility, and maintaining cleanliness of the outside area surrounding the facility. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two years of prior work experience as a custodian, strong communication skills, ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, ability to work in extreme weather conditions, ability to report to work in inclement weather, ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl for a period of 8 hours per day, ability to work independently and maintain security of the building, and successful completion and maintenance of compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
