This position will require a candidate who is fluent in both English & Spanish and this is listed as part of the preferred qualifications for this role. The annual salary for this position is $38,000 with access to a generous benefits package including health, vision, dental plus so much more! Description of Duties
What You'll Do:
- Create a friendly, professional, and welcoming front desk environment for clients and visitors
- Serve as the first point of contact - answering calls, assisting walk-ins, and guiding the public through Environmental Health services
- Provide accurate information, respond to questions, and help connect clients to the right resources
- Multi-task between duties to support functions of the department
- Collect and process fees with accuracy and professionalism
- Support daily operations through clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, messaging, and photocopying
- Use modern office technology and computer systems to complete administrative work efficiently
- Cross-train in multiple areas and step in where needed to support a fast-paced, mission-driven team
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting Preferred Qualifications:
- Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish preferred
- 3 or more years experience handling cash, credit card, or electronic payment transactions
- 3 or more years experience performing clerical or administrative support duties such as filing, scanning, scheduling, records management, or document processing
- 3 or more years of experience in a customer service role that is customer facing
- One (1) year or more of customer service experience in a high-volume office, government, healthcare, public health, or call center environment.
- Experience entering or maintaining data in electronic databases, permitting systems, or customer management systems
- 1 or more years of experience working in an office environment requiring frequent multitasking and interruption management
