Maintenance Tech I

As a Maintenance Tech I, you will be responsible for all mechanical or functional issues with equipment affiliated with Rural King Distribution. Make a meaningful impact and drive positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve. Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support while assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and actively participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments. Responsible for all preventive maintenance for all equipment in the facility, such as propane forklifts, electric forklifts, chargers, conveyors, grounds, etc. Responsible for fixing and maintaining all equipment or fixtures related to all operational parts of Rural King Distribution while still maintaining a low cost and a high level of. Responsible for compliance in all aspects of equipment and grounds relating to all aspects of Rural King Distribution. Ensure all quality and production goals are met daily, weekly, and always follow safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment, as well as keep work area clean of all debris. Be flexible and work in multiple areas due to the business needs as needed on any occasion if. Perform other duties as assigned.

At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. One-year experience in general mechanical and maintenance needs relating to forklifts, racking, and grounds.

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication. Excellent customer service skills. Able to operate aligned with the People Promise, which includes having a positive and passionate attitude for and commitment to Rural King initiatives. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail. Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards. Demonstrated ability to meticulously review and analyze information, identifying errors or inconsistencies to maintain high levels of accuracy. Proven track record of successfully adapting to new environments, responsibilities, and tasks. Demonstrated willingness to take on new responsibilities, tasks, and projects, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and growth. Genuine enthusiasm for learning and personal growth, demonstrated through a track record of actively seeking opportunities for professional development. Possess a growth mindset characterized by a belief in developing talents and intelligence through handwork, dedication, and continuous learning.

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to lift 65 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate all facilities. Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices). Must be able to see at close and far distances. Must be able to lift, bend, carry, and push repetitively. No supervisory responsibilities. At times, will be working around private offices, needs to maintain confidentiality.
