Job Description
Qualifications: She shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement. Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course. Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships. High School Diploma or GED. Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship. 30 hours of training in childcare or related field (Provided by THRIVE). Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by THRIVE). A background check and pastoral reference is required. Preferred Qualifications: College degree or work experience equivalence. At least 1 year full time ministry experience. A good driving record (have or obtain Texas drivers license).
Relationships: The Direct Care staff is responsible to the Campus Director.
Requirements: She will primarily serve as a minister to adolescent girls students in the THRIVE program. Her responsibilities include but not be limited to: Conduct Bible studies. Lead prayer. Disciple students. Conduct evangelistic outreach. Engage in religious instruction. Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations. Participate in campus events and chapels as required. Supervision, mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to school, work periods, free time, and recreational activities. Administer discipline as is necessary according to THRIVE policies. Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions. Provide and effectively communicate vision and planning for all aspects of the campus. Be supportive of the Teen Challenge National Accreditation Standards and fully cooperative with the Teen Challenge National Office. Be responsible for the physical, spiritual, and emotional welfare and development of the students while on the campus. Be responsible for the supervision and guidance of the program staff. Become a mentor to students. All other duties as assigned by Director.
