Summary
A Dock Clerk is responsible for routine clerical and data entry functions that support the production teams. This position is also responsible for all Inbound activity on the dock, including the movement of materials, proper labeling and documentation, and accurate record keeping in the customers inventory database system.

Coordinate all Inbound activities for the Receiving DockAble to work on multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and abilities, and close attention to work detail are requiredDistribute, assign, and complete warehouse management system tasksMonitor required process completion standards to ensure on-time delivery schedulesEnsure all deliveries are dispatched promptly, accurately, and with all necessary documentationAccurately process paperwork, gather and verify data, and transfer data into a standard formatGenerate correspondence, respond to routine inquiries, and perform a variety of clerical dutiesMaintain various computerized reports, charts, and graphsCommunicate issues to appropriate TVS leadership and/or staff membersSafely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) as neededPerform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.Perform all other duties as assignedRegular and reliable attendance at wordParticipate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel
No travel is required between locations.

Education and Experienc

A high school diploma or GED is required2+ years experience operating a forklift in a Logistics or Manufacturing environmentOSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certifiedBasic computer skills and experience with a warehouse management system (SAP preferred)Prior work experience in a warehouse and/or a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment preferred Knowledge of safety practices
