We are seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to support our paving and site-work operations. This role is critical to keeping crews supplied, equipment moving, and jobs running efficiently.

Position: Class A CDL Driver

Employment Type: Full-Time Location: BOISE , IDAHO

Reports To: Fleet Manager / Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

Truck & Equipment Hauling

  • Safely operate Class A trucks to haul equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators) to and from job sites.
  • Load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and proper tie-down procedures.
  • Transport materials such as asphalt, aggregate, and construction debris as needed.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs.

Jobsite & Crew Support

  • Coordinate with paving and site crews to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Assist with staging equipment, fueling, and basic maintenance when required.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, superintendents, and project managers regarding schedules and delays.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean driving record and up-to-date medical card.
  • Report mechanical issues immediately and keep truck clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
  • Experience hauling construction equipment or operating lowboy/tilt-deck trailers preferred.
  • Knowledge of load securement, tie-down requirements, and DOT regulations.
  • Ability to operate construction equipment for loading/unloading is a plus.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, nights, or weekends during peak paving season.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed.
  • Climb on/off trailers and equipment safely.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
