Driver Position
The Staff Pad is partnering with a global leader in fine art logistics to hire a Driver. This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented role responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, packing, and installation of high-value furniture and artwork. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, professionalism, and teamwork while working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. What You'll Do:
- Safely transport, pack, and install high-value furniture and artwork
- Lead crews on-site and communicate project details clearly to team members
- Prepare and maintain: condition reports, bills of lading (BOLs), supply lists, and project documentation
- Track time, tools, and materials for accurate job invoicing
- Tag, photograph, measure, and inventory items for transport or storage
- Maintain clean, organized trucks, tools, and equipment
- Ensure proper handling of all client property following company protocols
- Identify and resolve issues during moves, packing, or installations
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Report and document damages promptly
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor team members on handling, packing, and installation techniques
- Lead by example with professionalism and accountability
- Support team coordination and communication on job sites
- Promote safe work practices and proactive damage prevention
- Participate in operational meetings and continuous improvement efforts
What We're Looking For:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3+ years of experience in: moving, delivery, logistics, packing, or installation work
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow handling protocols
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on-site
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional, client-facing demeanor
Preferred:
- Customer service or supervisory experience
- Experience handling high-value, fragile, or specialty items
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Comfortable with physical activity including lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to safely operate moving equipment and tools
- Comfortable working in warehouse and client-site environments
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time position (~40 hours/week)
- Typical hours between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM depending on project needs
- Occasional overtime, weekends, and travel (up to 25%)
- Active work environment with exposure to warehouse equipment, moving vehicles, and varying job-site conditions
