This position is responsible for operating a bus or van to transport participants, city staff, and visitors to various locations and activities.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates vehicle to transport participants, staff, or visitors to various locations and activities.
• Maintains vehicle; checks oil and transmission fluid; sweeps vehicle out at the end of each day; fills vehicle with gas; inspects vehicle daily.
• Operates radio to communicate with personnel while in vehicle.
• Maintains vehicle record, including records of mileage.
• Advises supervisor of vehicle problems.
• May provide information of interest to visitors regarding city landmarks and points of interest.
• May perform the duties of a Recreational Leader as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; with one year of experience in transporting people and maintenance of related automotive equipment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to read and understand maps required. Class B CDL required. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours varies) Work Location: 1410 Richards St. Savannah, GA (Moses Jackson Community Center) Additional Requirements Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
