Position Summary:

Responsible for managing the facility, managing the curriculum, overseeing the physical facility, hiring staff and managing the overall operations of the center

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day operations of CSD Child Development Center or Pre-K Centers
  • Assist in hiring and train new staff members
  • Supervise teachers, workers and paraprofessionals
  • Develop relationships with parents, children and co-workers
  • Evaluate and approve equipment and supplies for the facility
  • Establish policies and communicate them to staff and parents
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff
  • Develop educational programs and set educational standards
  • Help staff resolve conflicts between children
  • Assist staff in communicating with parents
  • Meet with parents and staff to discuss students' progress
  • Ensure facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be knowledgeable of supervisory skills
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of office management systems and procedures
  • Must maintain good customer service
  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite, keyboarding, email and internet use)
  • Must have strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must have strong time management skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from a regionally accredited college or university OR one of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a non-related field plus one (1) of the following:
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education with experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education plus CDA, Birth - Pre-K credentials, and Technical Certificate of Early Childhood Education

*Criminal and Central Registry Background checks will be conducted on all applicants who are selected

*Drug Screens will be administered on applicants who are selected

Contract Days: 200
