There are so many reasons to join us. If you're hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there's only one choice.

Edit Material Management Integrator

As the Edit Material Management Integrator, you are a pipeline generalist accountable for operationalizing Bayer Crop Science's crop genome editing material management framework through strong partnership with functional stewardship teams, ensuring requirements translate into executed, auditable workflows across Plant Biotechnology, Global Breeding, Regulatory, Product Supply, and other partners to move CGE pipeline edits from testing through breeding and product supply. In this role, you focus on building and maintaining a fit-for-purpose stewardship and trait quality framework for edited material, while leading resolution of execution constraints and serving as the primary point of contact to anticipate and resolve constraints when they arise;

You sit at the intersection of science, operations, and governance-bridging global standards with ground-level execution, challenging the status quo, and building solutions beyond current frameworks to enable innovation while minimizing regulatory and stewardship risk. You also establish clear constraint intake, triage, escalation, and closure pathways to ensure fast, consistent resolution and transparent communication to stakeholders.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Edit Material Management Integrator, are to:

  • Build, own, and continuously improve a fit-for-purpose framework for edited material management, stewardship, and trait quality that is practical to execute and scalable across the CGE pipeline;

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for constraint resolution, owning intake, triage, root-cause coordination, escalation, and closure communications across partners;

  • Partner with the Regulatory Product Stewardship Center to define and implement global trait quality and stewardship policies, practices, and procedures that comply with all agency and internal requirements, and embed them within the edited-material framework;

  • Execute the Global Gene Editing Quality strategy and implementation plan to support robust product development;

  • Operationalize the framework by partnering with functional stewardship teams to translate global guidance into clear procedures, embed requirements in day-to-day workflows, and verify consistent execution across functions;

  • Harmonize procedures across row crops and vegetables (where applicable), eliminating duplication and creating scalable, repeatable workflows;

  • Define and maintain a clear operating model with functional stewardship teams, including roles and responsibilities, handoffs, and escalation paths, to ensure sustained adoption and day-to-day ownership of framework processes;

  • Ensure timely documentation and governance artifacts for the framework, including stewardship decisions, SOPs, decision trees, change control, and learnings from issue-management cases;

  • Establish and monitor issue-management operating rhythms and metrics (such as time to triage, time to closure, and recurring issue themes), and drive preventive actions to reduce repeat events;

  • Develop and deliver standardized training for field teams and partners to drive consistent execution, compliance, and risk reduction.
