Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling electrical and mechanical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery. You will use blueprints, schematics, and various hand and power tools to build and wire panels, perform machine and mechanical assembly, and support production across multiple areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately.
- Perform panel wiring, electrical wiring, and crimping in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Use tape measures (SAE and metric) and other measuring instruments to ensure precise measurements and proper fit of components.
- Support machine assembly and mechanical assembly tasks as required in the production area.
- Operate forklifts and assist with material handling as needed to support assembly operations.
- Complete troubleshooting steps for mechanical equipment by following inspection procedure guidelines.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality and meeting production deadlines.
- Rotate and assist in all required areas of the production floor to support overall workflow and output.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to pass an electrical assessment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly work.
- Ability to use tape measures (SAE and metric) and other measuring devices accurately.
- Experience with wiring, including electrical and panel wiring.
- Capability to perform crimping and other basic electrical assembly tasks.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting steps for mechanical equipment following defined procedures.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Willingness and ability to work in all areas of the production floor as needed.
- Availability to train on 1st shift and then work 3rd shift as scheduled.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Recently obtained electrical certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with machine assembly and mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with forklifts and basic material handling.
- Basic welding experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean manufacturing facility where safety is a top priority and all necessary tools are provided. You will train on 1st shift for a minimum of two weeks, working Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every other Saturday as needed. After training, you will move to a 3rd shift schedule, working Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., with every other Friday available for overtime. The environment can be hot in the summer, but doors remain open to improve airflow. The facility maintains a clean workspace and provides a structured, safety-focused setting for all production activities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
