Description

Ensures maximum uptime of all electrical power and lighting from utilities, generators, UPS and distribution systems at all company sites. Performs and oversees day-to-day work associated with all high and medium voltage electrical systems. Installs, operates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all electrical components, equipment and systems. Always presents a friendly and professional image. Escalates issues or provides information to Supervisor for resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a principal authority and the primary, hands-on, licensed technician for all electrical power and light infrastructure from utility service to utilization device.
  • Provides leadership, effective supervision, discipline and oversight to assigned employees.
  • Works flexible hours, days and locations to fulfill assigned duties.
  • Ensures that all activities and projects are executed in line with best practice & standards.
  • Represents and negotiates on behalf of the company in the areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures all work is complete and approves payment to vendors and contractors.
  • Audits work of vendors, contractors and employees.
  • Collaborates with other trades and disciplines.
  • Estimates cost and forecasts needs for staffing, parts, equipment, tools, contracts and services.
  • Prioritizes, schedules and assigns work and projects.
  • Reads and interpret mechanical, architectural and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintains the integrity of all facilities based on building codes and laws.
  • Safely operates over-the-road/utility vehicles, material handling equipment and personnel/forklifts.
  • Responsibly handles an assigned company credit card to perform assigned duties.
  • Inspects and is responsible for maintenance and repairs of assigned vehicles, equipment and tools.
  • Maintains all appropriate paperwork for inventory; maintenance and repair of assigned vehicles, parts, equipment and tools; licensing; and, personal employment requirements.
  • Assures prompt, courteous and competent service to all customers, internal and external.
  • Operates within the safety rules and codes set by the company.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; electrician license or degree in Electrical Technologies preferred; and/or combination of education & experience.

Experience

Eight (8) years of verifiable experience in active, hands-on, installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of medium and/or high voltage commercial systems as an electrical unlimited journeyman level or higher. Class II or III Casino experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.

Unlimited Electrical Contractor License issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (issuance from other states may be considered).

Valid Oklahoma Driver's License.

Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required.

Tasks may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling & grasping. Length of time may vary from day to day and task to task. Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
