Electrician
Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring an electrician for our operation. The electrician is a member of our maintenance department responsible for providing electrical and electronic maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment. Shift - 2nd or 3rd. Competitive wages (based on experience), benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO and paid relief days, $1,000 sign on bonus, this position is eligible for production and other incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and maintaining AC and DC industrial electrical equipment and control systems
- Installing and maintaining facility electrical, lighting, and power distribution
- Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Mentoring less experienced/knowledgeable co-workers
- Following company guidelines and directives
- Performing various assigned department duties
Physical requirements & environmental conditions:
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
- This position has consistent daily physical demands
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or electrical apprenticeship is a plus
- Basic math skills required
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work any shift
- Industrial electrical and control experience required
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Classification: Hourly
