Environmental Health Specialist
ProSidian seeks an Environmental Health Specialist for program support on a contract basis located CONUS - Bethesda, Maryland across the Mid Atlantic Region supporting comprehensive industrial hygiene, environmental health, and safety support services to protect researchers, patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional standards. It enables continuity of biomedical research operations through specialized technical staffing, hazard monitoring, training, and environmental health programs across NIH facilities.
Provide services and support as a Environmental Health Specialist in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as National Institutes of Health (NIH) | Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) → National Institutes of Health (NIH) → Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) Generally Located In CONUS - Bethesda, Maryland and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World).
Environmental Health | Public Health | Technical Support Promote healthier environments by managing food, water, and public health.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducts food safety inspections in NIH facilities.
- Oversees pest management strategies.
- Tests potable water and advises on remediation.
- Reviews NIH compliance with public health standards.
Desired qualifications for Environmental Health Specialist candidates include:
- Public health/environmental safety expertise
Education/experience requirements/qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Environmental or Public Health; 3+ years.
Skills required:
- Inspection, risk analysis, health program management
Competencies required:
