Job Title: Expeditor

Reports to: Chef de Cuisine

Location: The Union League Guard House (953 Youngs Ford Rd, Gladwyne, PA 19035)

Description:

The Expeditor plays a crucial role in the overall dining experience by ensuring that food is served at the correct temperature, fresh, and in a timely manner. They help maintain the rhythm of the kitchen by communicating priorities and the flow of turnout during busy periods and are key to preventing errors that could affect customer satisfaction

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring the status of orders
• Inspecting, and finishing the plating and presentation of dishes
• Cleaning up plates by wiping them at the rim
• Communicating customer complaints or modifications back to the cooks
• Assisting staff with prepping dishes or running food to tables
• Eliminating obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
• Inspecting the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assisting in cleaning
• Assisting the culinary team with food preparation and execution when needed

Skills and Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of experience cooking in an upscale casual kitchen
• Food handling training and certifications
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Must remain calm and focused under pressure
• Possess a keen attention to detail
• Must be self motivated and assertive
• Possess a passion for customer service and hospitality
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Note: The above tasks and any additional duties shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Chef de Cuisine
