Facilities Grounds & Housekeeper - Big Chill Beach Club

Summary of Position: The Facilities Grounds & Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring consistent general cleanliness of the grounds and facilities at the Big Chill Beach Club. As a partner of the Delaware Seashore State Park, this person will demonstrate top-notch housekeeping skills by performing daily facility and grounds cleaning and ensuring a safe, sanitary, welcoming environment for our guests. This position pays $22-25/hour.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for being a keyholder and unlocking the restroom/bathhouse doors in the morning and/or locking up at the end of the day
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation by ensuring complete and consistent cleanliness of restroom/bathhouse facilities
  • Deep clean and disinfect all areas of the restroom and bathhouse area
  • Stock restroom and bathhouse area with necessary toiletries including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, refreshed shower curtains, and other supplies
  • Sweep, disinfect, and dry mop floors and squeegee as much water/sand to the drains as possible
  • Inspect exterior and restroom/bathroom areas and alert management team and/or DSSP of any potential safety hazards or security issues
  • Empty trash cans and dispose of trash left behind in restroom/bathhouse
  • Groundskeeping cleaning to including all decks, steps, the concession boardwalk, yard areas, trash areas and play area
  • Assist with interior kitchen cleanliness during non peak times
  • Swiftly acknowledge all requests for maintenance and address any damages, incidents or needs as soon as possible by notifying management
  • Greet guests courteously and professionally
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set forth by Big Chill Beach Club
  • Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the company at all times

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must maintain flexibility of schedule to accomplish work responsibilities as required
  • Professional appearance, punctual, reliable
  • Hospitality soul with guest friendly demeanor
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to work in very fast paced environment
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch
