Job Title: Physician (Family Practice)
Location: Marshall Islands
Employment Type: Permanent

Job Summary
The Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive primary and urgent medical care in support of healthcare operations. This role delivers patient centred, evidence-based clinical services across all age groups in accordance with contract requirements, clinical privileges, and applicable U.S. and host nation regulations.
The physician is expected to exercise independent clinical judgment, participate in quality assurance activities, and maintain readiness to operate in austere or contingency environments.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management
Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and perform procedures within granted clinical privileges
Deliver urgent and emergent medical care, including patient stabilization and coordination of medical evacuation when necessary
Accurately document all patient encounters in approved medical record systems in a timely manner
Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and risk management standards
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including specialists and support staff
Support operational readiness and continuity of care in remote or deployed environments

Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from:
A U.S. or Canadian accredited medical school; or
A foreign medical school with equivalent education, demonstrated by:
ECFMG certification; or
Fifth Pathway Certificate (for eligible U.S. citizens)
Licensure / Registration
Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine from:
Any U.S. state
District of Columbia
Puerto Rico
Guam
U.S. Virgin Islands

License must be:
Current (not expired, suspended, or revoked)
Valid (meeting professional conduct standards)
Unrestricted (no limitations on practice scope)

Board Certification
Current Board Certification in Family Medicine or Family Practice from:
An ABMS-recognized board; or
An AOA-recognized board

Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of supervised clinical experience after MD/DO, including:
A one-year internship; or
First year of an accredited residency program

Life Support Certification
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through:
American Heart Association (AHA); or
American Red Cross
Certification must remain active throughout employment
