Job Description
This role focuses on operating a sit-down forklift to support shipping and receiving activities, including moving, staging, and preparing products within a warehouse environment. The position plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient material handling, and timely loading and unloading of trailers.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down style forklift safely and efficiently to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Shrink wrap pallets to prepare orders and products for storage or shipment.
- Pick and stage products according to shipping and production requirements.
- Collect finished product from the manufacturing floor and transport it to designated warehouse locations.
- Convey product to appropriate storage or shipping areas within the facility.
- Load and unload trailers while maintaining accuracy and protecting product integrity.
- Match, label, and scan products and containers to ensure correct identification and traceability.
- Perform data entry to support inventory control and logistics tracking.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying product quantities and documentation.
- Assist with general material handling tasks as needed to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to operate a sit-down style forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Knowledge of basic logistics processes such as picking, staging, and product flow.
- Ability to perform accurate inventory control tasks, including matching, labeling, and scanning.
- Basic data entry skills to update inventory and shipping information.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and handle moderate physical effort to move containers and materials.
- Ability to walk, stand, and carry materials for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and climb ladders as required by warehouse tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for inventory and logistics tracking.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for simple documentation and reporting.
- General experience in material handling within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse and manufacturing support environment that involves regular forklift operation and material handling. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.48/hr.
