Front Desk Receptionist (Bilingual Chinese)
We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, Chinese-speaking professional to be the welcoming face of our Diagnostic Medical Group imaging clinic. As a Front Desk Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in creating a smooth and positive experience for our patientsāfrom the moment they walk in, to managing their appointments and supporting the care team. What You'll Do
- Greet patients and check them in promptly; verify ID, demographics, and insurance, and update information accurately in the RIS system.
- Collect and process payments for services with accuracy.
- Complete all required registration forms.
- Scan required documents into the RIS system.
- Coordinate with technologists regarding patient readiness and wait times.
- Answer incoming calls promptly; provide information, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and provide exam preparation instructions.
- Confirm appointments with patients and referring offices.
- Verify insurance eligibility for scheduled and walk-in patients; ensure all insurance documentation is complete and accurate.
- Fax reports and forward images upon request.
- Provide Chinese translation support for patients and staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
- Handle and protect PHI in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in cross-training and attend monthly staff meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
- Medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred
- Fluency in Chinese required; Mandarin or Cantonese
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This is a full-time role located at 506 W. Valley Blvd. Unit #200, San Gabriel, CA 91776.
- Work hours: 11:30am to 8:00pm
- The national target pay range for this role is $20 - $22 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
