Full-Time 2nd Shift Custodian

Location: Pequea Elementary
Status: 260 Days/yr - Starting Hourly Rate $16 per hour, plus $0.50/hr shift differential.
Reports to: Principal/Assistant Principal/Custodial Supervisor
Schedule 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday. Second shift hours are 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Custodian to maintain our school facilities and ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain all school buildings, ensuring a clean and orderly condition by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming bathrooms according to District standards within the shift.
• Responsible for cleaning and stocking bathroom.
• Responsible for the proper usage of all cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian or Head Custodian.

Qualifications

• High school diploma necessary
• Knowledge and understanding of various cleaning chemicals is necessary; 1-2 years experience in custodial services and/or in a school district setting is preferred
• Ability to lift and/or carry supplies weighing no more than 80 lbs. Lifting, pulling, pushing up to 100 pounds occasionally, required to work in the elements during the weather assisting in snow removal.
