Mountain Biking Instructors For Girls Shred Program
We are looking for Mountain Biking Instructors for our Girls Shred Program providing mountain biking instruction to female and non-binary campers seeking an inclusive, encouraging learning environment. Instructors who are passionate about bringing the love of the sport to our Girls Shred Campers are highly encouraged to apply!
Important Details
-
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, typically 30-36 hours/week. Valmont Bike Instructors are expected to work at multiple neighboring camps throughout the Summer.

Position Duration: Training begins May 16 for our Golden, Boulder and Lafayette Camps. Our Camps run May 26 - August 14, exact dates and weeks location dependent. See our Colorado Camp page date and location specifics.

Compensation: Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting hourly rates are below:

Bike Specialists: $19.75/hour

Valmont Bike Park: $20.70/hour

Relevant Certification Bonuses:

WFA: $100
-
IMBA/ICP: $200

Teacher Certification/License: $200

In This Role You Will
-
Primarily lead our single-sport mountain biking camps; may be asked to co-lead our multi-sport programs from time to time instructing in all of our core sport programs (training will be provided!)

Safety is key!! You will be responsible for risk management and teaching our campers how to recreate safely
-
You are a role model for our campers; you will demonstrate and guide campers in appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities

Provide exceptional customer service to our campers, parents, and Avid families
-
Most positions require you to be eligible to drive - our Drivers transport campers to and from program areas using company passenger vans with gear and flatbed trailers in tow. You will be required to attend a driver training and pass an assessment during staff orientation
Your Background:
-
All remaining camp positions require staff to be; 20+ with a valid driver's license and willingness to drive

Demonstrated personal and/or professional mountain biking experience a must have
-
+1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
-
Minimum of Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done!!)

Specialized certifications eligible for end-of-season bonuses! $100 - $400 per certification
