Position Purpose:
The primary responsibility of this position is to generate leads for graduate programs by using recruiting strategies and tactics. This position will work with the Associate VP, Graduate Programs & Operations, Program Directors, Deans, Marketing, other recruiters, as well as the broader graduate team to successfully devise and implement the strategic enrollment plan for the graduate programs assigned.
This position is a quota-carrying role with minimum student expectations by program type for each of the six start dates during the fiscal year. This position will provide guidance, communication, promotional information, consultation, and assistance to schools, churches, businesses, organizations, agencies, and communities involved in the education and recruitment of potential students.
This position will maximize recruiting strategies, including onsite visits, online information sessions, networking, attending special events to recruit students, social media, and other methods to increase enrollment of students.
This is a full-time position with full-time benefits. Must be 19 years or older to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Concordia University, Nebraska, at events as noted in Position Purpose.
- Utilize the CRM system (customer relationship management software such as Slate or Salesforce) to effectively track all outreaches relating to assigned inquiries, applicants, and other constituents.
- Assist with the implementation and recruitment tied to promotional events. These promotional events may include, but are not limited to, arranging speaking engagements for faculty, presentations at local business/professional organizations, information sessions on campus and virtual events, and regional receptions to engage prospective graduate students.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential corporate partners and recruit students from these corporate partners. Also, develop positive working relationships with regional academic and community groups to create additional pipelines for graduate program leads and applicants.
- Make recommendations for graduate articulation agreements, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Program Directors to make recommendations relating to the development of marketing materials to support new recruitment initiatives.
- Be comfortable presenting on and off campus to wide and varying audiences (prospective students, administrators, community leaders, corporate partners, and alumni) to drive applications to the University's graduate programs.
- Communicate to prospective students via mail, email, phone, text, and in person creating urgency and identify the next step in the process towards enrollment or disqualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of all Graduate programs, especially those programs you will own and serve as the primary Recruiter.
- Willingness to travel, including regionally and nationally - involves both overnight and weekend events.
- Meet individual performance and team goals and proactively welcome professional development and a curious mindset.

Qualifications:
Education-
- Bachelor's degree in a related area required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience-
- Proven experience in recruitment and/or sales, especially in graduate or adult education.
- Proven ability to build relationships, create urgency, and drive next-action steps.
- Collaborative work history within a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic partnership development and program innovation is desirable.
- Proven leadership in organizational growth or educational initiative design is desirable.
- Strong understanding of LCMS structure, culture, and ministry context is desirable.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
Specialized Knowledge-
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing multi-media and technology (virtual platforms, etc.) to promote graduate program interest.
- Utilize data to inform strategies and tactics for recruitment efforts.
- Knowledge of educational systems and processes, preferably tied to school administrators and/or educators.
Proficiencies:
- Proficient in the use of technology, software applications including Blackboard, Banner, and related applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing necessary for the position.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks on sometimes short deadlines.
Special Position Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate professionally with a diverse constituency both on and off campus.
- Demonstration of strong organizational skills is crucial.
- Understand the importance of selling disciplines and customer service principles.
