Description
We are looking for a Guest Experience Associate to help create a warm and welcoming environment for every person who steps onto our Blankenbaker Campus. This role is essential for ensuring guests and members alike feel cared for and connected from the moment they arrive in the parking lot, enter the building, to the moment they leave.
Why Southeast? Southeast Christian Church is a dynamic, growing church where staff are encouraged to lead boldly, care deeply, and live authentically.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be a key part of our mission to unleash the full force of the church to love people one at a time. This includes:
- Leading Greeters Ministry: Oversee the recruitment, training and placement of Greeters throughout the Blankenbaker campus for all Worship Services.
- Hospitality: Creating intentional touchpoints for guests-whether through warm greetings, personal follow-up, or ensuring that every environment communicates care and belonging.
- Operations: Whether it's special events or weekly gatherings, this role will serve as the operational leader, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully executed and fully prepared for each event.
- Recruiting & Developing Volunteers: Building, training, and caring for a large volunteer base while continually investing in leaders who carry the vision forward. Ensuring every guest has a personal, one-at-a-time experience of hospitality and connection via Greeters.
- Casting Vision: Inspiring and motivating volunteers by regularly communicating the "why" behind the ministry and helping them see their service as Kingdom work.
- Building a Pipeline: Helping Greeters grow in their faith and leadership by developing pathways from Guest Experience into other ministries (SE!KIDS, Students, etc.), ensuring our church family continues to flourish.
- Strategic Planning: Thinking ahead and implementing processes that make the greeter experience smooth, intentional, and scalable for a large and growing campus.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives on energy and people engagement, and has a heart for raising up leaders. You'll also bring:
- Exceptional relational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect quickly and deeply.
- Strong leadership development instincts, knowing how to coach and multiply volunteers.
- The ability to think strategically and execute detailed ministry plans.
- A contagious enthusiasm that inspires others to serve with joy.
- Excels in administrative, organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Our Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, or Christian Education is preferred.
- 3+ years ministry or leadership experience in a church setting preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a team player who interacts well with staff, members, and guests.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.
- Exemplifies our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun.
- Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out our church Mantras in tangible ways. Learn more.
