As a Historical Records Program Team Lead, you will:

  • Manage a team reviewing and classifying/declassifying permanent classified records at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) pertaining to technical subject areas such as nuclear weapon science, design, development, weaponization, weapon production, and testing.
  • Provide expert leadership by providing direction, support, and coaching to team members.
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure information is properly classified/declassified in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954; applicable Executive Orders, regulations and Department of Energy (DOE) directives.
  • Serve as a technical lead, resolving classification issues from support contractors as they arise.
  • Assign tasks, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Act as liaison between the team, DOE management, and NARA management.
