Duties

Help

  • Makes reservations for incoming guests based on room availability and assists clientele in the completion of required forms and registration cards.
  • Answers questions pertaining to rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters; issues room keys.
  • Updates registration information on registration cards. Orients guests concerning use of facilities and equipment, and other facilities available on post.
  • Computes charges for guests checking out, receives payments and room keys; renders receipts. At end of shift, reconciles and secures cash .
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be available to work rotating shift to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at the level necessary to complete required reports and use a computer for work processing or data entry.
  2. Good verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
  3. One year hotel front desk experience is preferred.

Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualification criteria above.

HIGHLY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

  1. A minimum of six months of customer service experience in hospitality, retail, or a related industry.
  2. Proven experience in handling cash and credit card transactions, as well as operating point-of-sale and reservation system.
  3. Proficiency in using computers for administrative tasks, to include email correspondence and data entry.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
