Housekeeper (Environmental Aide) – Full Time and Part Time Available

RiverMead is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Housekeeping team as Full-time or Part-time. As a Housekeeper (Environmental Aide), you play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to the well-being of others.

Rotating laundry weekend shifts (typically every 4–6 weeks)

$1.50/hour weekend differential from Friday at 5:00 PM through Sunday at midnight.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and routine housekeeping duties in apartments, cottages, healthcare rooms, and all common areas in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, mop floors, vacuum, dust, and maintain overall cleanliness
  • Complete annual deep cleanings of apartments and cottages
  • Maintain adequate supplies in shared bathrooms (e.g., soap, paper towels, tissues)
  • Pick up, deliver, and change bed linens in apartments and cottages
  • Keep work areas and housekeeping carts clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and report supply needs or equipment repairs to the Team Leader or Director of Housekeeping

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three months of housekeeping experience required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and manuals
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with individuals of all ages, especially older adults
