Requirements

Position Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, performs a variety of housekeeping and infection control duties. May be assigned the maintenance and finishing of both hard and soft (carpeted) floor coverings along with regular housekeeping duties.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least18 years of age.
• Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent, as recognized by an approved government accreditation association, or have taken the SHRM TAC basic reading and math placement tests with a passing score.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and the public.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions in the use of chemicals, equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety and regulatory guidelines when dealing with hazardous material, soiled linen and infectious wastes.
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
• An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
• Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
• Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
