About the Job

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers of all ages. Duties include:

• Cleaning patient rooms and non-patient care areas
• Mopping floors and operating necessary cleaning equipment
• Performing residential cleaning in the nursing home and The Commons (independent and assisted living)
• Changing bed linens and curtains
• Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces, including furniture, floors, cabinets, equipment, and bathroom fixtures

This is a day-shift position with rotating weekends.

• Weekday hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Weekend hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
• Starting wage: $15

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read and follow verbal instructions

This role requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb stairs, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, and equipment
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Maintain close, distance, color, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus
• Walk or stand throughout the shift and grasp/reach for objects
