Description
Position Title: HR Assistant (Temp)
The HR Assistant (Temp) plays a critical role in supporting the human resources function by managing various administrative tasks essential for the onboarding process. This position requires coordination with internal teams to ensure a smooth hiring experience for candidates. The role focuses on onboarding a significant number of employees and involves direct interaction with applicants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and maintain professionalism throughout the hiring process. This position presents an opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment that values integrity and community engagement.
Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 / Hour DOE
Responsibilities:
- Onboard a large number of employees in July and August, approximately 25-28 total
- Manage a mix of temporary and long-term candidates
- Reach out to applicants and conduct initial phone screenings
- Share notes and feedback with the hiring team
- Schedule interviews with the interview team
- Conduct reference checks
- Assist with onboarding tasks, including preparing packets and inputting candidate data
Requirements:
- Few years of administrative experience
- HR exposure required
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Good phone etiquette and strong organizational skills
- Professional confidentiality
- Non-profit experience is preferred
- Ideally bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Degree not required is preferred
