Description

HR Coordinator

Location: White Plains, NY (100% in-office)
Compensation: $55-60k

We're looking for a motivated and organized HR Coordinator to support our recruitment team and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Guide candidates through a positive, seamless experience from first contact to their first day
  • Accurately process new hire paperwork for both internal and external applicants
  • Schedule HR and Occupational Health appointments and make sure onboarding documents are ready to go
  • Be a reliable, friendly point of contact for candidates, hiring managers, and leadership
  • Verify candidate credentials and licenses
  • Run background checks (SEL, SCR, CHRC, and others as needed) and conduct reference checks
  • Share clear, helpful information about benefits, PTO, and retirement plans (Union and Nonunion)
  • Build solid working relationships with hiring managers, departments, and university partners to support recruiting across all facilities
  • Help recruiters with prescreening, interview scheduling, and hiring events
  • Keep candidate data accurate and up to date in our applicant tracking system (HealthCare Source)
  • Stay current on Pre-Employment Guidelines and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Jump in on special projects and other duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and findings clearly
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting gears when needed
  • Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate well with colleagues across departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
