Job Description

The HSE Consultant is responsible for supporting and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across operational activities. This role ensures that work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices. Positions are available supporting operations in production, midstream, and construction environments. The role requires strong field presence, proactive hazard identification, and the ability to promote a positive safety culture.

ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & Environmental Oversight

  • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote a strong safety culture and reinforce safe work practices across all personnel
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures

Field Safety Support

  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety observations
  • Participate in and support toolbox talks, job safety analyses (JSAs), and pre-job meetings
  • Provide guidance to field personnel on safe work practices and regulatory compliance

Incident Management & Reporting

  • Assist in reporting and investigating incidents, near misses, and environmental events
  • Collect data, document findings, and support root cause analysis
  • Track corrective actions through to resolution

Training & Communication

  • Support HSE orientations and ongoing safety training initiatives
  • Communicate safety alerts, lessons learned, and procedural updates
  • Mentor field personnel on safety expectations and best practices

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to environmental requirements and proper handling of materials
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in field environments
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and reporting accuracy
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an HSE or safety role within production, midstream, or construction environments
  • Minimum of several years of relevant field safety experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional safety training or certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work a standard Monday-Friday schedule
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location

Job Details:

Location: Canonsburg, PA

Pay: $850/per day
